The AIB Graduate Account is specifically tailored to meet the needs of individuals who have graduated from full-time third level education in the last two years.
The AIB Graduate Account is available to anyone who holds an AIB Student Plus Account and has graduated from full-time third level education in the last two years, or anyone new to AIB who has graduated from a full-time third level course of three years duration or more in the last two years.
The AIB Graduate Account and associated benefits are valid from the date you convert to or open your AIB Graduate Account for a maximum period of two years. The preferential benefits of the AIB Graduate Account are only available to AIB Graduate Account holders.

If you are already an AIB Student Plus Account holder, just call our dedicated AIB Graduate Centre on 1890 788 336 to convert to the AIB Graduate Account or drop into your local AIB branch.
If you don't already hold an account with AIB, just call into any AIB branch. In order to comply with legislation to combat money laundering and terrorist financing you will need to provide suitable documentation to verify both your identity and your current residential address.
(Proof of Address documents must be no more than 6 months old - i.e. issued in the last 6 months)
Examples of Proof of Identity: valid passport, valid driving licence (Irish provisional licence accepted), valid National Identity Card.
Examples of Proof of Residential Address: utility bill (e.g. telephone, mobile phone, gas/electricity/heating/waste collection), correspondence from a Regulated financial institution (bank, building society, insurance/assurance company, credit card company), correspondence from a government department/body/agency/board.
To open your account, evidence of graduation is required (e.g. letter from College or Certificate of Graduation).
If you hold an AIB Student Plus Account, have graduated and are intending to continue with further study, please talk to us about extending your AIB Student Plus Account benefits.
You will not be charged account maintenance or transaction fees on your AIB Graduate Account.
Banking Free of Maintenance and Transaction Fees does not extend to bank service charges. Full details of our general fees and charges are published in 'A Guide to Fees and Charges for Personal Accounts.'
As an AIB Graduate Account holder, you can apply for a loan, up to EUR75,000, that offers a special reduced rate of 3% off the Bank's Standard Variable 'A' Personal Loan rate. This reduced rate loan has a current Interest Rate of 8.45%, APR (Annual Percentage Rate) of 8.73%, subject to variation, up to a maximum of €75,000. This discount will continue for the agreed life of the loan until it is paid.
If having ceased to hold an AIB Graduate Account you want to borrow further money on your loan ("top up your loan") or if you want to materially change the terms of the loan, we will have to enter into a new credit agreement with you for the total amount which may change the interest rate that applies on your loan. The new credit agreement will set out the terms, conditions and rate applicable to the new loan.

AIB offers a Personal Overdraft which gives you easy access to funds and provides peace of mind that additional funds are accessible when you need them.
You can apply for an interest free overdraft of up to EUR1,000 and you won't have to pay the standard overdraft Facility Fee of EUR25.39, while you hold an AIB Graduate Account.
Authorised overdrafts over EUR1,000 will attract the Bank's Standard Variable 'A' rate for Personal Overdrafts on the balance greater than EUR1,000 currently 11.85% Interest Rate subject to variation.

The AIB Debit Card lets you make purchases at Point of Sale (POS) and cash withdrawals at ATMs in Ireland and abroad. You can also use it to shop online or pay for goods and services over the phone.
Terms and Conditions apply. Debit Cards are liable to annual Government Stamp Duty. Currently EUR2.50 per card applies where the card is used for either an ATM/In Branch transaction or Point of Sale transaction and EUR5.00 per card applies where the card is used for both.
If you are not already an AIB Phone & Internet Banking user, now is the time to sign up. You can pay your bills, transfer money between your own accounts, to other AIB and non-AIB accounts. You can top up any O2, Vodafone or Meteor pre-paid phone and also top up your mobile with a free text message, even if your phone is out of credit.

AIB Internet Banking customers now have the opportunity to switch to eStatements. With eStatements you can receive your bank account and credit card statements online instead of in paper by post. You will require an AIB Code Card or AIB Card Reader to sign up and view your eStatements.
